Give Blood, Save Lives PRESS RELEASE PRODUCT RECALL: CPDA-1 SINGLE BLOOD BAGS MANUFACTURED BY LINWELL MEDICAL COMPANY LIMITED Lilongwe, Saturday, 19th November, 2022: Pharmacy and Medicines Regulatory Authority (PMRA) and Malawi Blood Transfusion Service (MBTS) are notifying all stakeholders of an immediate recall of CPDA-1 Single Blood Bags manufactured by Linwell Medical Company Limited for failing MBTS quality control validation specifications; therefore, they are not suitable for use. The manufacturer of the blood bags, Linwell Medical Company Limited of Ningbo, from China, has been informed of the development through the local supplier.
