This Act is the Therapeutic Products Act Repeal Act 2024.

This Act comes into force on the day after Royal assent.

Part 1 — Repeal of Therapeutic Products Act 2023 and related matters

The Therapeutic Products Act 2023 (2023 No 37) is repealed.

Consequential amendments to Food Act 2014

Sections 5 and 6 amend the Food Act 2014.

Repeal section 413(3).

Replace section 420(3) with: (3) The Dietary Supplements Regulations 1985— (a) continue in force as if made under this Act; and (b) are to be treated as if made under sections 343 and 383 of this Act; and (c) may be amended or revoked as if made under this Act.

Sections 8 and 9 amend the Dietary Supplements Regulations 1985.

After regulation 2A, insert: The adopted joint food standards do not apply to dietary supplements.

Revoke Part 3.

Part 2 — Repeal of this Act

This Act is repealed on the close of the 28th day after the date on which it comes into force.
