Summary

The project "With Bad Birnbach to a health-promoting company - big.KMU" is a pilot project for the development and implementation of an overall concept of workplace health promotion (WHP) at the spa and in the company, in which companies from various sectors based in the Rottal-Inn district are participating. The aim of big.KMU is to establish health-promoting measures in companies and to supplement these with an existing health-promoting offer at the health resort to form an overall BGF concept. The overall BGF concept is to be implemented and tested in small and medium-sized enterprises in the Rottal-Inn region. The measure implemented in the health resort consists of three modules, extends over a period of 12 months and addresses the fields of action of prevention and health promotion, such as stress management, exercise and nutrition: - Module 1: Health Week (6 days) - Module 2: Four Healthy Time Outs (1 day each) - Module 3: Refresher course (4 days) Study participants participate in multiple written surveys over 16 months. The effects of the implemented overall BGF concept at the health resort and in the company are examined with regard to work and health-relevant parameters. Of particular interest is the question of what added value the measure implemented externally at the health resort has compared to the company-specific measures offered directly in the company. This will be done within the framework of a prospective, quasi-experimental intervention study, with six survey dates (baseline survey (T0) before the intervention, three surveys during the twelve-month implementation phase of the overall concept BGF at the spa and in the company (T1-T3) and two surveys after completion of the implementation phase, in June and September 2023 (T4 and T5)). The following data will be studied: - Workability: Work Ability Index (WAI) - General and mental health: - Health-related quality of life (SF-12 Health Survey) ‐ Subjective well-being (WHO-5 Well-Being Index), ‐ Subjective stress perception (PSQ) - Stress experience, work demands, and workload: (based on the BIBB/BAuA Employment Survey 2018) - Resources - scope for action - control related to work activity (based on the BIBB/BAuA Employment Survey 2018) - Health-related behavior
