Summary

Artemisin-based combination therapies (ACTs) are metabolized by liver enzymes which are induced or inhibited by antiretroviral (ARV) drugs such as efavirenz (EFV) and nevirapine (NVP). This clinical trial aims at assessing the efficacy and safety artemether-lumefantrine (AL) and dihydroartemisin-piperaquine (DHA-PPQ) in people with uncomplicated plasmodium falciparum malaria taking NVP or EFV-based Antiretroviral Therapy (ART).
