Summary
Different additives have been combined with local to improve block quality, prolong postdeflation analgesia, and decrease tourniquet pain anesthetics with limited suscces[5]. The admixture of magnesium to bupivacaine provides a profound prolongation of the intravenous regional anesthesia , in addition to a significant decrease in the pain score and total dose of rescue analgesia, with a longer bearable pain periods in the first postoperative day [6]. The aim this study is to assess the effect of ondasterone when added to lidocaine on the quality and duration of the Intravenous regional anaesthesia during hand and forearm surgeries in comparison with magnesium sulphate.
