Summary
It is well known that unprotected left main disease has a high incidence of mortality due to the large area of myocardium supplied by it. CABG (coronary artery bypass grafting) is still the most common type of cardiac surgery performed nowadays. On pump CABG and off pump CABG are the two most common types of coronary artery bypass graft surgery (CABG). Off-pump CABG, unlike on-pump CABG, is a newer method that does not require the use of a cardiopulmonary bypass machine. The most typical method of doing bypass surgery is on-pump CABG. However, the procedure's inflammatory side effects cause renal dysfunction, gastrointestinal irritation, and cardiac problems, forcing surgeons to seek alternatives. In this study we aimed to compare the outcome of off-pump and on-pump coronary artery bypass graft surgery in patients with left main disease for 3 months following surgery.
