Absorbent Cotton Gauze will be used for cleaning, drying and dressing wounds during a medical treatment. Absorbent Cotton Gauze is perfect for delivering antiseptics to injuries, moisture removal from wounds before the exertion of a dressing or as a dressing as its own. This dressing is free from bacteria until wiped off. The function of Absorbent Cotton Gauze is to provide an absorbent material of sufficient tensile strength for surgical dressing. Paraffin gauze intended for minor burns and scalds donor and recipient graft sites, skin loss wounds, lacerations, and abrasions, leg ulcers. Chlorhexidine Gauze is used on open wounds especially skin burns, scalds, leg ulcers, skin graft sites, plastic and cosmetic surgery. This is applied prior to any dressing. The antimicrobial agent aids in the healing process. A single layer Chlorhexidine Gauze dressing is applied and covered with an absorbent pad, held in place with tape or a bandage. It is soothing and non-adherent and allows the wound to drain freely into an absorbent secondary dressing
