The Seca 525 body composition analyzer is primarily used in hospitals, medical facilities, and inpatient care settings, in compliance with the regulations of each country. The Seca 525 records weight, height, and measures bioelectrical impedance and automatically calculates parameters such as fat-free mass (FFM) that can be derived from the patient. The results are displayed graphically and support medical professionals in addressing the following health issues: • Determining energy expenditure and energy stores to form the basis for nutritional counseling. • Evaluating metabolic activity and the success of a training program, for example, within the context of rehabilitation or physical therapy. • Determining the hydration status of the patient. The Seca 525 is not a diagnostic device. To obtain an accurate diagnosis, the doctor must perform additional specific tests and consider the results of these tests together with the results of the Seca 525.
