Summary

The goal of this randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, 6-month supplementation study
 in individuals with type 2 diabetes is to investigate whether taking daily dietary
 supplements of vitamin D3 (1600 IU) or prebiotics (inulin, 10 gram) has beneficial effects on
 cardiovascular disease risk factors.
