Product approval
A certificate or approval attached to the finished product, component, or radio host.

Describe your device to check whether Producer registration for electrical and electronic equipment and for batteries, and the annual data-maintenance payment may apply, why, what facts are missing, and which official source to review.
A route-by-route answer. Separate product certificates, dossier evidence, import documents, and facility licences stay separate.
Trigger reasoning. See which product facts matter and which missing facts prevent a reliable conclusion.
Official starting points. Open the regulator or government sources behind the maintained country matrix.
Maintained country rule
Identifies RoHS, WEEE/EPR, battery, recycling, and producer obligations without miscalling them safety certificates. Maintained as a mandatory pre-market route.

Elektrisko un elektronisko iekārtu un bateriju vai akumulatoru ražotāju reģistrācijas kārtība un samaksas kārtība par datu uzturēšanu, Cabinet Regulation No. 331 of 17.06.2014, in force 01.07.2014 (as amended by Cabinet Regulation No. 227 of 28.04.2026), is made under Article 24(2) and (4) and Article 31(3) and (4) of the Waste Management Law. § 7 requires a producer of electrical and electronic equipment to submit a registration application (Annex 1) to the registrar together with a document evidencing the advance payment referred to in § 37.1, and to be registered in the equipment producer register, which the registrar maintains; § 7.1 imposes the same on an authorised representative of a foreign producer within one month of being authorised; § 8 requires the documents for each foreign producer represented and a separate payment for each. § 22 requires a producer of batteries to submit a registration application (Annex 1.2) together with the advance payment referred to in § 37.2, the authorised representative's route being in § 23, framed by Article 56(3) of Regulation (EU) 2023/1542. The duty is therefore a producer obligation attaching to placing electrical and electronic equipment and batteries on the Latvian market. The data-maintenance payment is fixed in § 37: EUR 42.69 on registration and EUR 42.69 for each subsequent calendar year for equipment producers (§ 37.1) and the same amounts for battery producers (§ 37.2).
How to read the answer
A device may have one medical risk class and still trigger separate radio, electrical, measurement, radiation, environmental, import, or installation requirements. The checker keeps each regulatory object separate.
A certificate or approval attached to the finished product, component, or radio host.
Testing can belong inside the medical dossier, while some documents apply to each shipment.
Radiation, installation, use, or measurement controls may apply to a facility or operator.
Country-specific scope
Evidence is normally handled inside the medical-device registration route.

Use these authority pages to confirm current scope, technical rules, application routes, and transition dates. A linked source does not turn a preliminary result into an authority decision.
Describe the complete product — radio, power, measurement, radiation, battery, materials, accessories, intended use, import route, and existing approvals. The free checker maps those facts to the maintained Latvia scheme matrix and links each route to its maintained source associations, with reviewed, candidate and unresolved states shown separately.
Use the result to identify questions and official sources. Final scope can depend on exact models, modules, bands, components, claims, HS codes, import structure, installation site, and current authority interpretation.
