Historical original of Decreto 8/92, expressly repealed by article 72 of Decree-law 33/2026, published on 12 May 2026. Article 73 of the new decree states entry into force thirty days after publication; ERIS Circular CA-ERIS/03/2026, dated 11 June, expressly identifies 12 June 2026 as the commencement and the date from which the new licensing, renewal and alteration procedures apply. The statutory relative period and the authority-stated calendar date are kept distinct. Article 64 conditionally preserves old licences and provides adaptation rules; article 71(3) conditionally retains technical Portaria 45/93 until rules for each establishment type are approved. Repeal of this decree does not mean every old licence or technical requirement immediately ceased to have effect. This historical expression contains the complete preamble, all 28 articles, promulgation and signatures across five scanned Gazette pages, excluding the cover/contents and subsequent Decree 9/92 from reading text. The actual instrument is a Decreto. Original publication and immediate entry were 21 January 1992, distinct from promulgation on 15 January. Historical article 14 concerns facility or equipment alterations with staged provisional and post-inspection decisions; article 11 instead provides tacit approval for renewal. These old conditional facility periods are not current universal medical-device product variation timelines. All five original images and corrected visual transcriptions were checked; duplicate chapter numbering, unusual wording, printed currency symbols and the original DGS/IGS offices and triplicate forms are preserved.
