Georgia's electromagnetic-compatibility obligation for devices sits inside the radio-equipment regime: Annex 1 to GNCC Decree No. 2 of 24 December 2004 sets out the EMC essential requirements (ელექტრომაგნიტური ხელშეშლისაგან დაცვის ძირითადი მოთხოვნები) against which radio-equipment certification is carried out, and the radio-equipment technical regulation approved by Government Decree No. 161 of 24 April 2023 governs the placing of radio equipment on the market (its technical regulation is published as an attachment to the decree). An EMC obligation therefore attaches to a medical device where the device is radio equipment; no standalone EMC regulation for non-radio medical electrical devices was evidenced from these sources.
