Medicines and Allied Substances Control (Gloves) Regulations, 2006
The Gloves Regulations, 2006, made under the same powers as the Condom Regulations and the second of Zimbabwe's two device-specific statutory instruments. Regulation 2 defines a glove across five limbs — a single-use medical glove, a sterile anatomically shaped surgical glove, an examination or procedure glove, a seamed or welded glove of bonded flat films, and any other glove the Authority determines — and regulations 4 to 6 prohibit the sale and distribution of unapproved gloves and set the approval route. Schedules cover the standards (dimensions, watertightness, tensile properties) and the prescribed form. The copy's own header line reads "Statutory Instrument of 2006" with the number left blank; the number 1 of 2006 is established from the preamble of the amending instrument SI 130 of 2014, which cites these Regulations by that number. The blank is a defect of this printing, and it is recorded here rather than filled in silently.
